How we Winterize our Chicken Coop

Living in Colorado is a little like riding a roller coaster when it comes to weather. This morning, it was a balmy 10 degrees outside (NOT cool), but tomorrow it will be in the mid-50’s. I did a fair bit of research (I particularly appreciate forums because people tend to come up with some great ideas and I’m a true believe that there’s no such as thing as one “right” way to do something). By last Fall, we had settled on a few things we thought would make the most sense for our chickens, the coop layout/orientation, and Colorado weather.
